A bunch of musicians are coming together to support Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders with a two-night benefit concert, Brooklyn Vegan reports. "Brooklyn is Berning!" will take place at Baby's All Right tomorrow and Wednesday, January 5 and 6.
Cass McCombs, Frankie Cosmos, Gang Gang Dance, Mas Ya, Okkervil River's Will Sheff, Lower Dens' Jana Hunter, Kevin Devine, Spirit Family Reunion, Dum Dum Girls' Dee Dee, and Wet are among the performers. Find more information on Sanders' website.
In addition to the music, "Brooklyn Is Berning!" is set to feature talks by local authors and academics, as well as special guests. It's unclear whether Sanders will make an appearance.
Over the past year, an extensive list of artists – including Neil Young, Lil B, Wayne Kramer, Jeff Tweedy, Thurston Moore, and Lou Barlow, just to name a few – have voiced their support for Sanders. One of his biggest supporters is Killer Mike, who released a two-part interview with the Vermont senator last month.
