In 2008, David Lynch released a collaboration with the Polish composer/pianist Marek Zebrowski as a limited edition CD. On November 13, Polish Night Music is getting reissued on vinyl courtesy of Sacred Bones. Check out the track "Night (A Landscape With Factory)" above.
The vinyl edition of the album comes with a download code featuring Live at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, which was recorded in 2006.
Zebrowski and Lynch met during the Camerimage Film Festival in Poland. Zebrowski worked as a translator on Lynch's film Inland Empire, and that's when they bonded over their shared interest in musical experimentation and improvisation. Polish Night Music is a product of their improvised sessions.
Lynch just announced his memoir. He's also at work on the new season of "Twin Peaks".
